Hill’s Beagles is located just outside Chillicothe Ohio. I live in a unique area where the Appalachian Mountains begin about a mile south of me, and a mile north it is as flat as a prairie which makes for a nice mix of cover and terrain to run hounds.
I run and trial hounds in the Midwest Gundog Association and I am a member of the North Central Ohio Beagle Club. I strive to produce beagles that are as close to the AKC rulebook as can be achieved. I strive to produce hounds that run the line, work a check from the point of loss out, have the nose to run in any condition, hunt and jump their game, and run with intent to catch until I put them in the box.
I believe in accomplishment out weighing style, and I believe a hound should be accountable for the game it pursues. I enjoy watching good hound work and if you have a good hound I’d love to see it run.
